The deadline to submit a Winter 2017 DI Innovation Grant has now passed. Announcements of who has been selected to present to the public for the final stage of the selection process will be made by Friday, February 24th.
How do I/we apply?
Submit a completed online application form. If you are having difficulty accessing or completing the online form, you can download a pdf copy of the Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Grant application and submit it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When is the deadline?
All parts of the application form must be completed and submitted online by Monday, February 13, 2017.
What is the selection process?
Grant proposals will initially be reviewed by a group composed of faculty, staff, and students, including possible representatives from the Campus Council on Community and Diversity, the Student Council on Campus Climate, the Staff Diversity Administrative Advisory Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Steering Committee, the Disability Issues Administrative Advisory Committee, the UCDHS Staff Advisory Committee for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Campus Community Relations, the Office of Campus Diversity, and the Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the UC Davis Health System. All reviewers will use a common rubric, which includes the following:
- Is the statement of the problem compelling?
- Are the objectives achievable in the proposed timeline?
- Are the outcomes measurable?
- Does the project align with the goals of the DI Strategic Plan?
- Overall clarity of the proposal.
Proposals selected by this group will be asked to present their project idea to a public audience on March 8, 2017 at the UC Davis ARC Ballrooms. Audience members will be encouraged to provide electronic feedback to each of the 5-minute presentations, and this information will be used to inform the final selection process, with awardees announced in early April, 2017.
