Advising Services offers a range of assistance to students at all stages of their academic development. Programs available for students include peer advising, advising for transfer students and veterans, special services for students with disabilities, and pre-graduate and pre-professional advising.
Advising Services is also the principal coordinator for Summer Advising and Fall Welcome programs. For first-year students, the residence halls offer a variety of Academic Advising Centers. The centers provide peer advising from each of the colleges as well as tutoring in chemistry, math, and writing. Each of the centers has a professional academic coordinator who coordinates the center, provides academic assistance, and works individually with students on advising questions and issues. Advising programs are also provided in each of the residence halls to help students with course selection, choosing a major and graduating on time.
