The Model United Nations (MUN) program at UC Davis is always open to new members and comprises a Model United Nations team and a high school conference program. Undergraduates have the opportunity to role-play a United Nations delegate at conferences around the world, in places such as Scotland, Beijing, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York, and Montreal. Every May for the past three years, the UC Davis MUN has held a high school conference on campus to help hone members' skills, fundraise, and showcase the campus and program to the youth of the state.
Morgan Hoban, secretary-general, says, "As an international traveling team, we are known as one of the best MUN programs in the State of California. We have won numerous delegation awards, as well as countless delegate awards. We also host one of the fastest growing and highly respected high school conferences on the West Coast."
Hoban continues, "One of my favorite aspects of this club is that it has neither membership requirements nor a selection process. If you have done MUN for years and years, or if you never heard of MUN before this year, your membership status will be unaffected. All we require is an interest in international affairs and a love of debating and camaraderie."
