The Student Affairs Office of Technology is charged with making the best use of technology within the division at UC Davis. Because our mission is as diverse as our 26 student-oriented service departments, from Office of the University Registrar to the Memorial Union, we touch many of our 30,000-plus students lives regularly through technology. More efficient automated systems mean we have more human time to spend with you. We are continually improving our systems for our community of customers. Student Affairs Technology Advisory Committee (SATAC)Student Affairs technical representatives throughout the division advise Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor Lora Jo Bossio regarding the use of technology by attending monthly SATAC meetings. Chaired by Manager of Systems Technology Paul Drobny, the group reviews timely topics regarding policy, deployment and divisional initiatives. Student Information SystemCentral to the efficient use of technology in support of the business activities in Student Affairs is our vibrant and ubiquitous Student Information System. This enterprise level workhorse tracks many aspects of our students careers and status here on campus. Student Affairs has a keen interest in seeing this system be safe, accurate, easy to use and up to date.
