Student Affairs Spotlight: Student Assistants to the Chancellor
Molly Sundstrom and Traci Brown have both accepted the position of Student Assistant to the Chancellor for 2008-2009.
Sundstrom is entering her senior year as a political science major, with a minor in English, and will graduate in June 2009. She has served as an ASUCD senator and was the commissioner for the ASUCD Business and Finance Commission for 2006-2007. She also served as vice president of public relations for Kappa Alpha Theta in 2007. In 2006, Sundstrom was an intern with Congressman Mike Thompson and she is presently serving as an intern for the Davis city manager's office.
Brown, also a senior graduating in June 2009, is majoring in sociology and communications. She has been an office assistant for the UC Davis Annual Fund and Communication Resources department. In 2007-2008, she was the lead Picnic Day administrative assistant and served as the P.E.A.C.E Coordinator/Trainer and R.E.A.C.H. facilitator for the Cross Cultural Center. She also participated in the McNair Scholars Program and as a volunteer for Black Family Week.
Sundstrom and Brown bring a complementary set of leadership skills and experiences to the position, and they look forward to working with with the chancellor during the 2008-2009 academic year.
