Bio

Lindsay has worked in higher education for over 12 years, including roles of leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion and justice, first-generation student success and developing identity-conscious programs for students. She has a strong record of obtaining and managing grants and is passionate about reengaging underrepresented students and supporting the workplace experience and professional development of minoritized faculty and staff. 

In addition to her most recent role at Portland State, she has worked as director of Student Success Programs at UC San Diego and associate director of the First-Year Success Center at Arizona State University.

Romasanta earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and a certificate in Asian American studies from Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude, and went on to earn a Masters of Public Administration from Georgia State University and Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.

As an equity-minded scholar-practitioner, she is a founding co-editor of NASPA’s Journal of First-Generation Student Success, the nation's first journal dedicated to first-generation college student scholarship, and has co-authored several pieces of published higher education research.
