Vice Chancellor Fellows

The Vice Chancellor Fellows play a critical role within Student Affairs and the Cabinet of Student Leaders. Fellows build connections across campus, work on impactful projects and provide a student voice and perspective to our initiatives. Over the course of the academic year, their hard work and contributions to the division are an integral part of our success.

Fernando Valencia - Vice Chancellor Fellow

Fernando Valencia, raised in the Colusa County Area, is a fourth-year Human Development major with a minor in Public Health Sciences. Coming into UC Davis, Fernando  became a part of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), which set him up early for school. Inspired by EOP's impact on him, Fernando chose to give back, first as a Peer Advising Counselor and then as the Peer Coordinator for EOP.

He will run the Shadow an Aggie experience while also assisting and creating projects throughout the academic year. As a VC fellow, Fernando is most excited about working with the student leaders on campus and ensuring that we can resolve issues that affect student life.
