Vice Chancellor Fellows

The Vice Chancellor Fellows play a critical role within Student Affairs and the Cabinet of Student Leaders. Fellows build connections across campus, work on impactful projects and provide a student voice and perspective to our initiatives. Over the course of the academic year, their hard work and contributions to the division are an integral part of our success.

Application Information 

Position Summary:
The VC Fellows work alongside the Vice Chancellor in the Office of Student Affairs, supporting special projects, shadowing leadership, serving as an ambassador, engaging student leaders and fulfilling administrative duties as necessary. The position offers valuable experience and leadership skills and is open to undergraduate, graduate or professional school students. Two fellows will be hired.

Anmol Gill - Vice Chancellor Fellow

Anmol Kaur Gill is a fourth-year Political Science Major with a minor in Psychology. In her second year at UC Davis, she worked as an involvement mentor for the Center of Student involvement and transitioned to the MENASA Resource Center as a community organizer in her third year. Beyond campus, she has interned with Congressman Ro Khanna and the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office over the past two summers. Through her experiences, she has gained a passion for community-building and expanding resource accessibility for underserved communities.

Anmol will be assisting with a wide range of initiatives and projects, specifically the Linda Katehi Excellence in Leadership Initiative. She looks forward to uplifting and empowering students across diverse communities.

Anmol Gill

Kimmy Truong - Vice Chancellor Fellow

Kimberly (Kimmy) Truong is a fourth-year Psychology and Communications double major and Education minor from Stockton, California. As a first-generation and low-income student, she has been highly involved with the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) as a Peer Advising Counselor and as a Peer Coordinator. Through EOP, she gained leadership experience and found community among fellow first-generation students. As a student with a disability (Dwarfism), she uses her lived experiences to advocate for increased access and equity for students wanting to pursue higher education. 

Kimmy will be leading the Cabinet of Student Leaders while working on various projects in the division of Student Affairs. She is excited to engage with students, faculty and staff and be involved in furthering student success initiatives.
