Where to Eat

You will find that food is tasty at UC Davis. Our award-winning dining commons offer a delicious array of choices to suit all diets, including vegan and vegetarian. You’ll also find eateries across campus that offer full-on meals or grab-and-go snacks.

Dining Commons

Student Housing and Dining Services operates three dining commons on campus, with one location near each residence hall area:

Food Trucks

Variety is the spice of life, and a rotating slate of food trucks that have contracted with UC Davis Dining Services provides just that. Locations vary, but during the week there are typically food trucks at:

  • Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts  
  • Silo Patio
  • Storer Hall

However, be sure to view the food trucks locations map (pdf) for specific locations and the food truck daily schedule.

There also are markets associated with each of these dining commons where you can pick up a quick snack on the go:

Scrubs Market

The Scrubs Market is located inside Scrubs Cafe and features a variety of healthy foods, snacks, and drinks that are ready to eat on the go.

Silo Market

The Silo Market is perfect for a quick bite when you're in a hurry and stocks to-go items like sandwiches, salads and fresh fruit. If you're thirsty, you can choose from an assortment of drinks.

Located in the Memorial Union, near The Market, Aggie Compass is a student community space where you can pick up free fresh fruits and vegetables during Fruit & Veggie Up!, enroll in CalFresh, and learn about resources for affordable housing and financial assistance.

Aggie Food Connection

Want to get healthy but aren’t sure how to get started? Visit Aggie Food Connection to learn how to eat well and live healthy on a student budget. You'll find resources that help you:

  • Find where to get free produce and grocery items on campus.
  • Take a cooking class on campus and learn how to prepare healthy meals that would make your parents proud.
  • Meet with a registered dietician and achieve your health goals.

Food and Veggie Map

The Food and Veggie Map highlights various locations within a 10-mile radius of Davis where students and members of the community can find fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Pantry

The Pantry provides fresh produce and bread, shelf-stable food items, and basic necessities to students facing food insecurity. Students must present a valid UC Davis ID Card in order to take up to three items per day. Located in the east wing of the Memorial Union.

UC Davis Farmers Market

The UC Davis Farmers Market is held during fall and spring quarters in partnership with the Davis Farmers Market and aims to boost the health of our community by making nourishing and locally-grown fruits and vegetables available on campus.
