Donelle Allen Appointed AVC for Housing, Dining, Divisional Operations and Technology

Following a national search, Donelle Allen has been appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for Housing, Dining, Divisional Operations, and Technology in the Division of Student Affairs, effective May 1, 2026.

In this role, Allen will serve on the Student Affairs Vice Chancellor’s Council and Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership and oversight for Student Housing, Dining Services, Divisional Operations and Information Technology.

Allen brings more than 20 years of experience at UC Davis, most recently serving as Interim Associate Vice Chancellor. She previously held the role of Executive Director of Business Operations and Services within Student Housing and Dining Services. Throughout her career, she has led numerous student-centered initiatives supporting first-generation, low-income, transfer, reentry, and veteran students, demonstrating a strong commitment to educational equity and student success.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Allen holds degrees from Sonoma State University and Sacramento State University and is nearing completion of her Doctorate in Education through the UC Davis School of Education CANDEL program. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes extending grace, creating structure and bringing care and intention to every interaction. She is deeply committed to fostering inclusive, vibrant communities where both students and staff can thrive.
