Strategic Planning

In 2018, Chancellor Gary S. May launched UC Davis’ strategic planning effort, called “To Boldly Go” in which he and other university administrators asked the university community—both locally and around the world—to imagine UC Davis 10 years from now. From that input, the UC Davis Strategic Plan is being developed.

Guided by that effort, the Division of Student Affairs will be drafting its own strategic plan. This plan will be in alignment with the university’s strategic plan and vision, and it also will provide a detailed framework that supports the Division of Student Affairs mission and specific priorities.

As the division undertakes this work, it also is undergoing a period of transition. The division is therefore approaching the strategic planning process with a high degree of transparency and collaboration so it may garner the greatest degree of input from the entire UC Davis community, especially students.

As such, the Division of Student Affairs will use a variety of feedback mechanisms and provide numerous opportunities for involvement as the development of the plan moves forward. Please take advantage of this exciting opportunity to shape the future of Student Affairs at UC Davis.
